Question
Does Trados Studio (2019 and 2021) support other subtitle formats besides SRT, such as VTT, SUB, SBV and STL?
Answer
Trados Studio 2021 and the latest version of Trados Studio 2019 (you can check if the application is up to date on your end here) support VTT, SUB and SBV files natively. If you are using an older version of Trados Studio 2019, you may need to install the Studio Subtitling plugin as described in this RWS Community page.

To translate STL files, you need to install the STL filetype from the RWS Appstore: https://appstore.sdl.com/language/app/stl-filetype/981/

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Please be aware that there are different types of STL files. Only Spruce STL files are supported with the file types mentioned above. If your file is not a Spruce STL, you can use a subtitle editor software to save your file as Spruce STL, or another subtitle format supported in Trados Studio.
