You are working on an alignment file (.sdlalign) in Trados Studio and you want to save it as SDLXLIFF (by using Home > Save > Save SDLXLIFF), but you notice that the file is saved in the wrong format, without the .sdlxliff extension.





Why does this happen?

This issue only occurs when the alignment file name also contains the extension of the aligned files (.docx in the example above). If this is removed from the file name, the SDLXLIFF is saved correctly.

The problem was also logged for Development, to implement a fix in a future version of Trados Studio.
