TMS jobs/tasks gets stuck in Moving to next step status post Authorization.
Users must follow some best practices during Authorizing jobs/tasks in TMS. There is also a defect with regards to (interface=AUTHORIZE) for whichdefect CRQ-26188 has been raised to Development Team. The defect is being planned to be fixed in vTMS 12.6 CU2.
Some of the best practices to follow to avoid this from happening again:
Open the TMS instance in only one browser, especially during Authorization.
If the instance is open for a very long time, it is recommended to refresh the browser to check if the session has timed out or not. If session is timed out, TMS will ask for the user to login once again post which they can continue with Authorization.
Once the job/task is Authorized, if you are unsure that you successfully authorized the task, refresh the page before clicking on Authorization again, this will avoid double clicking Authorization button for the same task/job.
TMS user session time out during Authorization.
Double clicking Authorization button for the same task/job.
Opening Authorization page in different browsers and trying to Authorize the same jobs.
Bug in p_JOB23 stored procedure - it should check that InterfaceType of the tasks matches that of the queryString value (interface=AUTHORIZE) - it does this when Authorizing a "job", but not when authorizing a collection of "tasks". CRQ-26188 defect has been raised for the same and Development Team has planned to fix this issue in vTMS 12.6 CU2 (future release).
