Language Weaver Cloud - Unable to create an account for a user with error that e-mail address is already in use

When trying to add a user and their e-mail address to an account, an error message is received that says
Failed to create user. Email address is already used.
If the user had a trial account, or another account which is now inactive, Support can assist in deleting the email and deactivating that account so the e-mail address can be added to the new account.
If the user has a separate account for another product, the best solution would be to use a different e-mail address since each e-mail address can only be associated with one account.
The e-mail address is already associated with another account. It may be a trial account the user set up, or another account for an additional product they use.
