If the translation memory is stored on a network/shared drive, as a first step always try copying it locally (to the C:\ drive of your computer) and see if the error persists with this local copy as well. If yes, try the solutions below:
1. Close every SDL application.
2. Go to this location (how to see hidden folders:
https://gateway.sdl.com/apex/communityknowledge?articleName=000001137) :
- for Studio 2021 : C:\Users\[yourUserName]\AppData\Local\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio16
- for Studio 2019 : C:\Users\[yourUserName]\AppData\Local\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\15.0.0.0
- for Studio 2017 : C:\Users\[yourUserName]\AppData\Local\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\14.0.0.0
3. Find this file:
TranslationMemoryRepository.xml and rename it to
TranslationMemoryRepository_old.xml4. Open Studio and see if you still experience the issue.
In addition to this you can try to repair the translation memory which caused the issue using 3rd party applications:
SDLTM Repair add-in:https://appstore.sdl.com/language/app/sdltm-repair/298/or
SQLite Expert trial version app from:http://www.sqliteexpert.com/download.html
