When saving an Excel file in Browser Workbench or through a Save or Save target step, or when importing a Return package that includes an Excel file (as bilingual SDLXLIFF), this error appears: Blank sheet names are not allowed |
If the Microsoft Excel File Type is configured to extract worksheet names from the source content, that name needs to be translated or copied from the source to the target segment. Add a translation to the empty target segment in Browser Workbench or the SDLXLIFF file included in the Return package and try again to save the file or import the Return package. If the file/task is in Autoerror, complete the Autoerror after fixing the issue.
To prevent this issue from happening, you can set the Microsoft Excel File Type Configuration not to translate the worksheet names. To do so, create a modified File Type Configuration in Trados Studio, import it to WorldServer and apply it to your project or project Type.
|
The worksheet name has been extracted for translation, but left empty in the target segment. The empty target segment can come from the TM or the translator has left the Worksheet name empty on purpose while translating it. Microsoft Excel does not allow for worksheet names to remain empty. If you open an Excel file in Microsoft Excel and try to remove the worksheet name, you will notice that Excel will not allow it. |
