By default, Studio removes the segmentation markers from an .xliff file when generating the translation. This behavior was introduced in one of the later updates of Studio 2019 because of customer demand. Apparently, the majority of 3-rd party XLIFF processing systems do not “like” the <mrk> segmentation markers.
If you are still encountering this issue, order to stop Trados Studio from adding these markers, go to
File > Options > File Types > XLIFF > Settings
and make sure that the option Add segmentation information in the translated file is not enabled.
After the option has been enabled, you have to re-process the source .xliff file in order for the new settings to take effect. |
