How do I export a specific File Type Configuration from WorldServer?
Exporting a File Type Configuration might be useful to provide it to SDL Support for testing an issue you might have reported in a Support Request when using a specific File Type Configuration or to simply import it into a different environment maintaining the same filter configuration setting. It is also useful to migrate your File Type configurations from one system to another, for instance from your Test to your Production environment.
1- To export a Filter Configuration, in WorldServer go to
Management > Administration > Export Object
2- In the Object Type scroll down menu, select File Type Configurations (if you work on a 10.4.x WorldServer environment, it will be called Filter Configurations):
3- The list of all your File Types will display. Click on the + sign to expand the File Type you are looking for and select the File Type Configuration you want to export. Here is an example:
4- After you have selected the File Type Configuration you want to export, scroll down to the end of the page and click on the Next button.
4- In the next page, select Primary objects only and click on Export:
Your File Type Conifguration will be exported. Per default, the export file is always named ExportObjectDefinitions.tml. You can rename it as you prefer, but do not change the file extension.
