Exporting a
File Type Configuration might be useful to provide it to Support for testing an issue you might have reported in a Support Request when using a specific
File Type Configuration or to simply import it into a different environment maintaining the same filter configuration setting. It is also useful to migrate your File Type configurations from one system to another, for instance from your Test to your Production environment.
Starting from WorldServer 11.7., you will be able to export file type configurations as Studio settings files as explained in this article:
How to modify file type configurations starting from WorldServer 11.7?In earlier version, follow these steps:
1- To export a
File Type Configuration, in WorldServer go to
Management > Administration > Export Object2- In the
Object Type scroll down menu, select
File Type Configurations (if you work on a 10.4.x WorldServer environment, it will be called
Filter Configurations):
3- The list of all your File Types will display. Click on the
+ sign to expand the File Type you are looking for and
select the File Type Configuration you want to export. Here is an example:
4- After you have selected the File Type Configuration you want to export,
scroll down to the end of the page and click on the
Next button.
4- In the next page, select
Primary objects only and click on
Export:
Your
File Type Conifguration will be exported. Per default, the export file is
always named
ExportObjectDefinitions.tml. You can rename it as you prefer, but do not change the file extension.
