Solution: Generate the target DOCX file from Trados Studio 2019 or 2021 based on the exported WSXZ package.
1- If the project is still active in WorldServer,
export the task or - if the project is already completed - export the file from Explorer to a
WSXZ Studio package.
2-
Open the WSXZ package in
Trados Studio 2019 or
Trados Studio 2021.
3- Once the package has been opened and the corresponding project is visible in Studio, open the
*sdlxliff file and go to
File/Save target as.... to create a target DOCX file.
4-
Open the target DOCX file created in
Trados Studio 2019 or
2021 in Microsoft Word.
5- Microsoft Word will ask if fields should be updated:
and if you click on
Yes, it will also ask for options to update the table of contents:
6- You can click on
Yes and
OK on the second option and then
Save your DOCX file if you do not want this questions to come up again when the DOCX is re-opened.
7- Finally, go back to WorldServer Explorer
replace the target file that could not be opened with the one generated by Trados Studio. The fixed target file can be downloaded again and it will open correctly.
