Preparing Translation Memories for upLIFT (Fragment Recall / Fuzzy Repair etc.)
For File-based Translation Memory
Translation Memory created In SDL Trados Studio 2017
The upLIFT functionality/feature is available by default for file-based Translation Memories that you create in SDL Trados Studio 2017 or higher.
Translation Memory created In SDL Trados Studio 2015 (or earlier) to be used in SDL Trados Studio 2017 (and later)Translation Memories created in Studio 2015 (and earlier) require to be prepared to enable the upLIFT functionality to work in Trados 2017.
Manual steps:

- Open SDL Trados Studio 2017 (or later) and go to the Translation Memories view.
- Open the Translation Memory and do a right-click on it and select Settings
- Go to Fragment Alignment and select ON in the section Fragment Alignment Status
- Click Build Translation Model and afterwards click Align Translation Units
Automated/Batch preparation:If you have several Translation Memories you can use an available app from the
SDL AppStore named
